EGOISTE Decaf is created using CO2 extraction technology.
Water-soaked coffee beans are placed in a sealed container, into which CO2 is pumped under high pressure. Carbon dioxide extracts caffeine, dissolving it. Then, the caffeine-rich CO2 is transferred to another chamber, where the pressure is released, allowing CO2 to turn back into a gas. Carbon dioxide is separated from the caffeine using charcoal filters, cleaned, and reused.
The flavor-aromatic compounds remain inside the coffee bean throughout decaffeination, allowing all its natural characteristics to be maximally preserved.
EGOISTE capsules are compatible with all capsule machines of the NESPRESSO® system, known at the time of capsule production. The designation NESPRESSO® is a registered trademark of Société des Produits Nestlé S.A. This trademark is mentioned to inform the consumer about the compatibility of the capsules with this type of coffee machine.
Capsules are fully recyclable and are made of 80% recycled aluminum.
